Brother Sam Mitchel is no stranger to WOAK radio. He has been a part of the WOAK family since 1985. From helping us with our transmitter to building us a web server, Brother Sam has been a great friend to WOAK. He hosts the Blue Grass Friday night program which is on of our most popular (and one of our most fun) nights. Through Brother Sam's radio ministry he has been able to minister to people of all walks of life both here in LaGrange as well as all over the world through our Internet broadcast.

Brother Sam and his wife grew up in the same neighborhood and met each other in high school. After marriage Sam and Joyce served the Lord together. From his first pastorate at Sunset Baptist Church to his current pastorate at Old Pathway Baptist Church, his wife has been his helper in every situation. Most of the time she works behind the scenes, but through her prayers and support of Brother Sam and her devotion to him, she has shown herself to be a beloved wife of the pastor. Sister Joyce has a sweet disposition and has opened her heart and her home to friends, visiting evangelists and pastors, and given of her talents and hospitality to so many of her and Brother Sam's friends and associates.

Brother Sam and Sister Joyce, thank you for all you have done for our community, WOAK radio, and Old Pathway Baptist Church. You are a blessing to all of us.
